Today the sun shone bright, and it was cold, as it usually is in the winter when the sun shines bright.
I had a busy day! I went for a drive in the sunshine, went shopping, went for a walk, chatted with a friend, puttered in the garage, puttered in the back yard, and managed to do a bit of organizing in the basement. Here, there, and everywhere. I had fun.
Attila had a busy day too, he was off Christmas shopping again, this bodes well for me! We tend towards the practical end of things when it come to gift giving, things we use all the time, and every time we use them we remember the warmth with which it was given.
Last night the temperature outside dropped below -7C, so the oil furnace heated the house overnight. That means the relative humidity in the house dropped. And guess what, no nose bleed! What a thrill it is! Perhaps the nosebleed I had after the cauterization were a result of incomplete healing. I am also running a humidifier in the bedroom overnight, which helps, but that didn’t help in winter’s past, so this is a change for the better.
The most exciting thing going on right now is that there is nothing exciting going on! Love and peace!

Love and Peace! 😀 …Joan
Thank you Joan! 🙂
Sunshine was sooooo welcome, yesterday! It was only the third sunny day we’ve had in almost 3 weeks! And I’m talking it’s been so dim here that a number of days the entire day was as dark as well after sunset. Some of the solar signs along the highway even ran out of power.
As of yesterday, I’m all done with Christmas shopping. Yay! DH is now fretting, though. He ordered something for me on Dec 3rd, got told at check out it was out of stock until Dec 11th, it didn’t ship until Dec 16th, and now it’s in the Canada Post black hole. Oh, did I mention he had it shipped to his work address and as of Friday the place is shut down until January 2nd? But it’s okay with me if it comes late. I have a pretty good idea what it is and it can wait. 😉
Yay for no bloody nose! Hope it stays that way forever!
Teri, it never occurred to me that the solar signs along the highway could, or would, run out of power. It is a revelation. 🙂
Congratulations on finishing your Christmas shopping! That is too bad for DH about the package not shipping on time, and now being shuffled around in the depths of Canada Post. I am grateful that I am not waiting for any deliveries before Christmas. Whatever the gift is, I hope you enjoy it when it does get to you!
I am thrilled about my nose, so far. I am still on alert for those nosebleeds, but gaining confidence daily.
