Attila and I are enjoying our day, up at 6:30 a.m., lights on the tree lit, sipping our coffee. It was me, getting us up pre-dawn. My sisters do it too, on Christmas morning. We always have. My Mom says though, that we have mellowed. She remembers us as children, down the stairs on a Christmas morning, sometimes as early as 2:00 a.m., although I don’t remember it that way, to wonder at our stockings stuffed with a colouring book, crayons, a banana, an orange, and chocolate drops.
Raising of cup of good cheer to all, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, and a Happy Holiday. My your day be one of peace!

And so I thank you, for reading here, for listening, it is the greatest gift.

That is one beautiful tree! Nothing like a tree in a small room to bring the outdoors in! I will be putting my two tiny trees back in their paper bags and into the basement for another year of waiting to come out again. Happy New Year Maggie, and I am going to make the concerted effort to be more mindful in the new year of expenses going out – that’s my downfall! Now back to my crochet project! Love to you both.
Why thank you Bex! I love that concept, bringing the outdoors in!
Happy New Year Bex, I am enjoying seeing your progress on the crochet (oh dear, did I refer to that as knitting earlier!) project.
Expenses going out, yes, we find that quite a challenge as well! Love to you and Paul and Belle.
It’s been a quiet Christmas up until today, Maggie. I was in for some girl surgery on the 20th but allowed to come back home on the 24th, my and DH’s 10th anniversary. Then today was busy with everyone wanting to come see me.
Today, the wife of DH’s brother brought over a very sweet and sentimental gift – she tried to have a replica made of my and DH’s wedding cake for our anniversary. We were married at their house on Christmas Eve 10 years ago. What a lovely thought!
Teri, so glad you survived your surgery and that you were able to be home with your DH for Christmas!
Happy Anniversary to you and DH! That is a very sweet gift for your anniversary.
